Why do I need to call McArthur Lumber & Post about my large order?
We can ship to you, its true, but large orders over a certain size and weight limit need to be done via phone as they have specific shipping and freight charges.
Can you ship anywhere in the US?
On smaller items like hardware pieces and tools we can generally ship to you anywhere in the US. On large loads like fence posts, gates and post-pounders for example, it becomes difficult to ship across the US.
We limit items like this to be shipped in our general area, and require a set load size before we can commit to delivery. Please call 800.837.2551 for in-depth shipping and delivery information on your potential order.
How will my order be delivered?
Any items ordered that cannot be shipped by UPS (posts, gates, etc.) will be delivered by either a semi or straight truck. There must be adequate room at the delivery location for a semi to safely park and leave. You must have adequate equipment to safely unload your order. If our deliver team deems either the amount of space or the equipment to be unacceptable and unsafe, the load will be returned and a freight charge along with a restocking charge will be applied.
What details should I know about delivery?
Proper and adequate directions are the responsibility of the buyer and should be provided to McArthur Lumber & Post prior to delivery. One hour is allowed for unloading. After one hour, a $50.00 per hour charge will be assessed (this ensures our delivery schedule is met for all other customers). Any other fees or charges incurred as a result of incorrect addresses or no one being present to accept delivery will also be back charged accordingly. Please have someone available at your delivery location to accept and sign off on the delivery the day it arrives. Without this on-site consent we will not be able to deliver your order.
